extrusion pistol, semi-realistic. new paint job!
my kind of coaxial pistol gun
made from aluminium extrusion and a modified blow gun. the barrel has a hole drill down into the lower chamber and into a alloy block where the air travels in a Z path through the block and the piston seals up against it as in a standard coaxial. a hole underneath the end of the barrel in the block allows air to enter the pressure chamber infront of the block.
with this configuration i am aware that it is not as efficient as a standard coaxial with the restrictions and change in direction of air flow, but that was not my aim, i wanted a semi realistic pistol with decent power which this has.

This makes me feel a lot better about my rectangular combustion chamber.
Just be careful to not take it too high in pressure, as the walls may start to balloon just so slightly. Looks like you know a thing or two though so I guess I'm just blowing steam.

wow interesting... AFAIK you can get tubular aluminium extrusions/ profiles (whatever you call them)
so something like this

Carbon fiber is amazing stuff, ideal for a piston. If machined right it will out perform almost anything else. I know and love carbon fiber (and their splinters) from my supermileage vehicle. But anyways, this gun is particularly interesting. It's one of those builds no one expects to be anything potentially lethal until you explain it's purpose.

Damn, he took my idea. Ah well perhaps i could do a 34-gon coaxial?
Yeah, it's that important.
awwwww you should have kept it silverish it looked almost like the one from the anime/manga hellsing, actualy he does get a new pistol so it still looks close, so do ya got 13mm exploding holysilver bullets just on a side note are you a vampire ha ha ha ok im done
sorry
its a nice gun
to bad it doesnt have a mag for repeating shots is it a breach load or muzzle loader the piston looks like an icecream sandwich

I admit that I haven't seen this until now since I have been away for such a long time - but, wow, cool! I've started playing around with aluminum extrusion, excellent for framework. In fact, it'll become very useful in a few projects I have coming up.
