I have a lot of experience with the Ninja regulators and the techs there send me regulators that they tune down to as low as 200 psi, but going much lower than 250 seems to not be as consistent. How about using a smaller ballast and using their standard SLP regulator that is set to 300psi? This will recharge faster and not be a custom order. You can find regulator and tank combos for as little as $50.00 without the need of a carbon fiber wrapped tank. The new 33ci tanks are as short as the 13ci but with almost 3x the capacity.

Because the ninja regulators are adjustable out of the box, how would one go about making the pressure lower then the 450 you can adjust to.Solar wrote:I have a lot of experience with the Ninja regulators and the techs there send me regulators that they tune down to as low as 200 psi,
hey guys,
I've heard that palmer's is the best of the best when it comes to regs, but i don't want to spend more on a reg than what it cost me to build my launcher.. So my question is if this is a good substitute:
http://www.ansgear.com/ProductDetails.a ... CK&click=8
From the MFG website: (http://www.azodin.com/az_inline_reg/default.asp)
FEATURES:
1. STANDARD ASA THREADS
2. OUTPUT RANGE BETWEEN 0 AND 700 PSI
3. 360 DEGREE SWIVEL
I just need something to reg down to 100 or 150 psi to fill a pvc chamber, so i dont have to lug around a big airtank.. I currently have a line as well as a tank with a reg that's present to 800 psi.. Now i know nothing about paintball tanks or regs or anything, but im assuming setting these two regs up together would allow me to get the tank output down to 100 psi or so?

Im pretty sure you can do it like that, but u can also mod the stock reg on ur tank.
I'd rather not have to mod anything that's regulating that kind of pressure. Not that i think it isn't possible, i just don't know enough about the mechanics of my specific reg nor do I trust my reg to perform as it was designed to if it's moddedsagthegreat wrote:Im pretty sure you can do it like that, but u can also mod the stock reg on ur tank.
Hi guys, im a noob so please exuse my lack of knowledge! . i am (trying) to build mpmrla's .36 cal muzzleloader. I have a 250 psi rated qev valve, a 24 inch 9mm barrel, a 1/8th button vent valve (for trigger pilot) and a 3000psi paintball tank (no reg yet). My questions are: what sort of fps am i going to get from this set-up shooting with a 150-250 psi air supply and 9mm steel shot? Also, will the 250 psi qev valve take a bit more psi before "pop off", say 300 psi (safely), coz im thinking of getting the ninja 300psi slp regulator. thanks guys.

With regards to performance estimation, consider downloading this pneumatic launcher design modelling program: http://thehalls-in-bfe.com/GGDT/
