i currently a cannon with a 3/4 in modded orbit spinkler valve, 2ft 2inch pvc pipe chamber and a 3 ft barrel which is also 2 inches. i used a bike valve so fill it from the compressor but i can't lug a compressor out on the field so is there anyway i can hook it up to co2. i used it for paintball to take out tanks and launch grenades. i have a reg. i was wondering if you could fit an fill valve up to the remote line of a co2 tank and fill from there. any ideas
thanks winters
co2
As long as a regulator is connected to keep the pressure about 100 PSI and so no liquid Co2 enters the chamber. It would also be a good idea to install a pressure relief valve to keep your chamber from blowing, just in case something goes wrong.

get a 3/4" barrel trus me you wont go back.

Thats a little spendy, Ive found 3lb tanks for a little less than 1/3 that. I also play paintball and I use a launcher that is powered by Co2. When your under fire there is no time to use a pump to charge the chamber, you need instant fills. The only real difference between my cannons and his, is mine operates on unregulated Co2 (all metal except barrel with ball valves) so there is no need to worry about the pressure or buy an expensive regulator.Technobob wrote:For such a small air chamber I would just go with a bike pump. I was pricing out CO2 tanks before I got a 20 pound tank for free. They are not cheap a 5 pound tank was going to run me close to a $100CAD after tax.
Chaos
The reason we use 2" barrels is so we can fire finned nerf footballs at tanks and bunkers. I occainsionall fire the footballs but mainly fire homemade paintball grenades.

LOL!!
I have a RPG I use for paintball and I allways used a bike pump, but I hooked up my remote line so that now I can use my 20ox tank.
What I did was hook a 3/8'' ball valve, then a 1/8'' tee with a 125 psi saftey valve so that it would not blow up. And in then hook it to the chamber with a 1/8'' quick connect. It works good but you have to be careful when filling it because it is un regulated.
