No, thats fine, wierd tho i recently broke this thing out and finally got out to long range test it. Im still stuck on some of the same problems. when the nail hits the foil it does not burst it just hisses out air. also, i still have never gotten an 100% seal with the union. Im thinking of a way to add on a wrench of sorts in order to get more torque to tighten it. To fire it i have to put the round in the tube and pump till it bursts. I got a good 200-300 yards at around 60psi at 65 degrees. I redid those rounds however. instead of nails i just used screwed through a threaded rod and sharpened the tip. does anyone have an idea on what material will hold alot of pressure, but rip once it is punctured?
Oh, and that random gun i posted is now scrap btw.

Oh, sorry, no. I didnt say thats what i have been trying. In order to get a decent pressure (60-80psi) you need at least 8 layers. with this thickness the foil is very resistent to shredding, but still punctures. I was thinking along the lines of rubber. If i could get some that bursts like a balloon but holds alot of pressure id be set. any idea on how to get sheets of rubber?kostaki wrote:I think aluminum foil would work well.

foil tape.. very strong stuff bursts like aluminum foil and is somewhat sticky.
