Why did I fail?
Y jrrdw i think mcrowleys right, maybe just take the blow gun all the way off and put your thumb over the threads, this worked for me testing my valve.
Patience is a virtue, get it if you can, seldom in a women, never in a man.

Wouldn't it leak out the blowgun where it's threaded in to the sprinkler valve or damage the threads if you yank it out?
Not if you just unscrew it as fast as you can. Thats how I got the Basterd to fire the 1st time. It's a process of elimination test.

Stop whining and try and give us details about how to fix your problem.spudnutbutthut wrote:the blowgun is directly connected. I covered the threads with my thumb, itm "fired" i guess..WHGATS WRONG?! I wasted $90 on nothing...
So you covered the hole with your thumb and it fired when you removed your thumb?
Is the blowgun mounted upside down? The 1/4" threads should be attached to the sprinkler valve, so it vents out the smaller 1/8" threads.
How big is your chamber? Give me diameter and length.

If it fired after removing your thumb, how did you waste 90 bucks. Mod your blow gun or use a 1/4 inch ball valve to vent the sprinkler valve. If it fired after removing your thumb the blow gun was the problem.spudnutbutthut wrote:the blowgun is directly connected. I covered the threads with my thumb, itm "fired" i guess..WHGATS WRONG?! Technically you shouldn't have to mod the valve, but...spudnutbutthut wrote:wait how do i mod the blowgun? I have the 1/4 inch side up BTW. I covered the hole with my thumb and the gun made "thwunk" noise, the thing inside didnt come out though (waterbomb, its preforated i guess)

What do you mean 1/4" side up? Is the 1/4" side connected to the valve? Answer the questions properly if you want help.
The thing inside didn't come out? Huh?
WHAT SIZE IS YOUR CHAMBER? If your chamber is too small, sometimes the sprinkler valve will just let all the air out of the blowgun.

My chamber is 2inchews which reduces into the 1 inch valve and goes back to a 2 inch barrel. The 1/4iinch side is screwed into the sprinkler valavbe, i bought it pre modded at launch potatoes.

Propane coming out the blowgun isn't a problem... It's SUPPOSED to do that. The question is why isn't your valve opening.
Hmmm....
You claim the gun comes up to pressure. Check. You AREN'T complaining about the gun leaking so it sounds like the valve is sealing as it should.
But it won't open.
My GUESS: When you installed your blowgun you screwed it in too far and it is now actually holding the diaphram closed.
edit: The fact that the gun works when using the Mk 1, mod 0 thumb as the valve makes me think I may be on to something. Question: When the blowgun is installed, does the fitting extend beyond flush INSIDE the valve? If so, this is your problem!
