What size capacitor bank did you use on the smaller size one?

Larda, could you demonstrate with your bigger or smaller gun with 10kJ charge? And you could shoot to wood plank?

wow..... :D amazing
I hope you are going to build your next gun with 2" barrel

when I asked how much gases are produced I basically ment that you could measure it somehow to find out whether lenghtening to barrel would increase muzzle velocity and how much longer barrel you can use

Has anyone tried this?http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to- ... ectrother/. Do you think it would have ok power or horrible power. I am thinking of maybe adding an extra capacitor or two.

Yep thats the basic idea but the two terminals have to be insulated from the walls if they're made of metal.

But how close two terminals have to be if voltage is 800V?

Very close, if you're jumping an air gap. This works by passing current through a conductor, so the voltage doesn't have to be absurdly high.

So is this gun based on it that the air between electrodes becomes to plasma and the so the pressure increases? And Larda uses aluminium powder that turn into plasma? Thanks!

Sorry, forgot to mark "Notify me when a reply is posted" when i posted, so i missed all the new replays.
Not sure which capacitor-bank i used for the smaller one, i think bank was about 2.5-4Kj.

I have some thoughts of of building a "handheld" version of the ETG, but i am not sure if i am reckless enough to try using it .
