I finished it....I finally finished it...(not quite, tbh, I'm still waiting for the endcap to set and cure but...)It's finished COMPLETE with alarm(when it shoots, it makes a high-pitched ringing tone...Kinda like yelling FORE)

I can't wait to test it out tommorow...

Anyway, the priming job I did was horrible so it needs some paint. >_> I finally got my shrader in! I screwed it in manually, and didn't use any teflon tape, but I never unscrewed it, so I figure I won't have too many problems under the 80 psi that I plan on keeping it below.

Also, the pictures I took had a sort of glow around the gun...IDK why...Looks pretty sick though :D Kinda eerie, but cool nonetheless...

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you....

Way better than most "firsts" we see around here.

I assume you blocked off the stock?

Do you intend to modify the sprinkler?

It will look much better with a nicer paint job.

On a side note, why is it that 90% of the cannon pictures people post on here are horrible low-res images? Does nobody around here have a 1> MP digital cam, or a scanner? lol.

Peace,
Pete Zaria.

I do intend to modify the sprinkler valve, though I am fond of the electric trigger....I currently have it set of by a momentary flipswitch...

I did NOT block off the stock....I couldn't figure out that I should have used a check valve until AFTER I finished solvent welding it...

And what use would I have for a nice camera? A good $300 gone, for better resolution...

Okay, I'm updating the pics...turns out I just needed to reset the settings on my camera...I'm keepin the ghosty lookin things though!

LOL, I actually get it.

Nice gun, do you still get reasonable performance with the electronic trigger using the solenoid valve?

happy Spuddin'

Exactly.
Better pictures.
300 is still low.
I plan on getting a $800+ camera sometime in my future, just for better pictures.

When I shoot it, I get a loud honking sound...this means I need to modify the sprinkler valve, correct?

So Casper it is hey!? I feel truly honoured

As for honking noise, are you sure you are using enough power to open the valve, it's just a thought. Ive never used a sprinkler valve before.
Have they got a spring in them? If so it might be too stiff maybe.

Just some things to think about!
Good luck with it.

I removed the spring, and I'm using 3 9v batteries to power it... Shouldn't be a problem...

Updates:
  • Alright, I tested it with aluminum foil and it blew, so I modded the valve.
    Pneumatically modified the sprinkler valve
The chamber broke off while trying to screw in a barrel(need camlocks tbh). I need to fix it. This means new adaptors. And I just went to HD this morning...It's going to be hard to convince my dad to take me.
Created a longer barrel for "sniping"
So, the gun is down until I can get the fittings.
