If you are willing to use the rubber ones, any auto parts store. If you want the all metal ones, then good luck. I've never found one. :D

Ace hardware sells them, and so does Pep Boys auto. Ace sells the metal threaded ones, either 1/8" or 1/4". Pep Boys sells the monkey grip ones (which I prefer when I'm making a pvc cannon, since you don't need to tap a hole)

Also surpluscenter.com has them along with a tons of fittings which are reasonable in price, and I just finished ordering a bunch of stuff from them and it all looked good. I paid like a 1.50 for a threaded schreader valve.

But if you don't wanna order then any auto store should have them.

Ask a bycycle shop owner if he/she has any broken tire tubes or schrader valves, usually they will give you them for free because they are practally wothless. If not go dumpster diving in their trash, thats how I get mine.

If you can only get rubber ones locally, you can also use a 1/2" compression nut to hold a (slightly shaven) one in place.

Its easy to get them, get them from an old or leaky bike tire. Drill a (i think) a 9/16 inch hole in a PVC cap then slip the schrader valve, with a little rubber on it, into the hole

I just went to a tire/wheel business (beaurepaires in Australia) and asked for one. It cost me nothing.

I got my metal monkey grip ones at Bomgaars ( I live in Iowa it's like a feed and stuff store, I love it) 3.00$ I think for two. It is not in central Iowa but up near Minnesota I'm going to have my dad bring me some from up there where he lives.

Ok this topic has been discussed over 100 times at least, please search the forum on schrader valve topics. Now to answer the question Ace hardware has schrader to 1/4 fittings back in the brass fitting section. Go to Les Schwab or any tire store and ask for a metal valve stem. they will usually give you one, the last time i went there they gave me 5. once again though please search the forum on the topic next time
Yea, that's definitely going to get you at least a tazer.
