This is my first pneumatic cannon, Snappy Tom. It's fully portable and self contained.

Valve - Modified Nylex Rainbird composite.

Chamber/stock - Class 18 pressure rated PVC.

Air supply - In-built compressor and 2000 mAh battery pack.

Barrel - Screw-on interchangeable. The pictured barrel is airsoft sized aluminum tubing in a steel sleeve.

Not pictured - 25mm spud barrel, car adapter.

So far I've only tested it with crappy plastic pellets but it penetrates the bottom of a coke can at as little as 30 - 40 psi.

well done mate, a little cleaning and tidying up here and there wouldnt hurt but yea.

now as to you on board air compressor, noice

how much flow does that thing have mate?, ie how long does it take to fill to say 50psi?

Yeah it would look a lot nicer with some paint on the stock.

With the 7.2v battery pack it takes a bit over 10 seconds to get to 50psi, even faster when running from 12v.

I'm Aussie indeed, have read a lot of your posts, good stuff.

I forgot to mention that I paid $1 for two of those composite valves at a junk yard. They were in new condition but packaging had been opened and resealed with tape so I was expecting one of them to be faulty. They both work fine, still can't believe it.

Nice effort to have it self contained, but I would recommend scrapping the electric pump and just carrying a good 150 psi or so bike pump with you, it's just as portable and the difference in performance will be impressive. Your construction should be able to take that sort of pressure easily.

blue primer is quite common out of the us.
And very nice gun I too like the onboard compressor idea.
but a paint job would really help in the acstetics department.

I've been hesitant to paint the stock because I really want to use a high quality clear coat as it's handled so much, and I'm pennyless at the moment.

Might have to just chuck on a couple of coats of gloss black for now and post some more photos + damage pics.

I like the idea of and integrated(sp?) compressor. how many fills does the battery last for and how long does it take to fill to NOP?

Cheers, the air compressor is one of those $12 affairs that claim to reach 300psi but struggle to get to 100psi.

The battery lasts around 20 - 30 shots.

It takes about 15 seconds to get to my NOP (70psi) but it slows down as the battery loses charge.

Only just noticed this new cannon, i like it. I like the fact that you don't have to pump the sucker up, as JSR said you could achieve better results from higher pressures but i personally would like being able to fill my chamber without pumping.
