I wanna build something new (since i have de-commissioned my combustion). I'm looking forward to building a copper barrel sealing, and i have come up with a trigger design for a schrader. But now i'm wondering if a quicker opening time or a larger volume of air dumped at a time is better.

Schrader Trigger:

Quick opening time
Same fill and vent point

Mini ball valve:

Able to dump more air
Can be used remotely
well, this isn't much isn't it?

You would be best off with the bv.Doesn´t need a perfect piston and generally works better.
You can put an empty schrader in the other end and have all the advantages..Or use QD fittings to go from pump to gun iso the schrader.

Can't ask for a better compliment!!

definitely go with the ball valve, the higher flow will give you much better performance. if you are stuck on the idea of the schrader trigger, you can plug it into GGDT and see what kind of performance you can expect.

I would use the ball valve, if you have a compressor, it can be used as both the fill and pilot valve just put a male quick connect on the end

What empty schrader? Whats a QD?

Problem is, I don't have a compressor.

I was thinking of the schrader valve trigger cause with it there's a faster opening time(near instant) and using it as both a fill and exhaust I can reduce pilot volume. (correct me if I'm wrong)
well, this isn't much isn't it?
