Hello.
I created two threads, one for each launcher, but by mistake they got merged. Sorry for the confusion, but if we try real hard i think we can make it work after all :D
Sorry, but im not up for writing a whole lot right now, so ill just upload some pictures and then you can ask if theres something you want to know. Comments are more than welcome too.
Basicly this is my just another copper gun upgraded with a larger chamber (65cm of 1" steel) and is now operated at twice the pressure (35bar ~ 500psi)

The launcher in all its glory

Damage..

Bought this gauge especially for this gun

I lined up three pieces of wood, each 25mm thick:

Buckshot at this pressure is definately not something you want to try on your own body

Thats an awesome gun! It looks very clean and professional.
May I ask what you shoot out of it besides the buckshot.

Hello.

This is my 6mm coaxial i have talked about on this site in another thread, its 1m of ½" steelpipe as chamber and 1,5m of 8mm copperpipe for barrel. The launchers pistonvalve is actuated by a 3/8"qev, wich is actuated by a blowgun. The piston is made from rubber and weighs less than 1 gram (kitchen scale didnt register anything)
I generally run it at 8 bar wich is normal compressor pressure, for fast realoading times, but sometimes take it up real high with my fridge compressor to take a few very high powered shots.
At full power with a .12g bb i believe that it might have broken the speed of sound, but i have no chrono so i wont claim anything.

The coke bottle is an expansion chamber for the qev, as its very noisy without it. its practicly impossible to fire the gun at anything higher than 3bar without it because you have your ear right next to it.

My ammo, 6mm steel balls

That piece of wood is 25mm thick

1) What ammo was you useing?
2) How far where you from the target?
3) Where is the fill valve?
4) What kind of fill valve are you using?
5) What is the piston made of?
6)Are we there yet???

your compressor looks great esspecially the gauge

both of your guns are impressive...

I think should remove that bottle... use an elbow and about 25 cm of pipe and thread it to the QEV exchaust make sure the pipe would be pointed forward and that should help
you may even add a homemade muffler to the end of the exchaust pipe

Believe me, ive tried that. the only way around it is a homemade muffler as you suggest, and i simply just dont have anymore time in the workshoo right now. thats why i went with the bottle ;)

You can buy mufflers for QEV's.... in fact i think you can but them with mufflers built in....

anyway, just direct the flow dowards. or put on some ear savers.
