PCP problems

Ok, i am building a pcp pistol. It has a 6" length of 3/4" steel pipe as the chamber. I have a 3/4" steel tee where I want to have the hammer valve. The problem is that I am having difficulty building the hammer valve. I know how the work, but I am having trouble building one. Is there an alternative to building a hammer valve? Does anyone have any tips? By the way, I won't be using this at more than 400 psi. If you need more specifics, just ask. Thanks for any help!

I always thought that somthing spring loaded would be cool. Another idea i had, wich wouldnt work for your gun is to take an electric airsoft pistol and add tube to the piston with will come out of the barrel. its an easy semi auto hammer.

if you did that would you need a spring behind the piston? I like that idea and I wanted something semi auto.

the problem is that I think I'm gonna need to do some epoxy pouring...that will cause problems.

Their already is a spring behind the piston, its and airsoft gun. It also has a sear a return mech and a trigger. You barely need any modding and its semi, but i dont know if it will work at 400psi, depends on the size of your valve, because of surface area.
Edit: i just read my first post, i meant to say take an electric airsoft pistol, not piston. That makes much more sence now.

Maverik, put up a drawing of your intended valve layout, and describe the areas in which you believe you are going to encounter problems.
As an alternative to building, you may consider modifying a blowgun. BTB has done this a few times, and it seems to work well as a pilot.
How well it'll work for a main valve kind of depends on your barrel diameter, ammo choice and expected performance.

what about this??

Nope..it acts the same as a blowgun or hammer valve,
I got 10 shots out of it using the hose volume of my fridgy only!
( at 40 bar, tapping it softly with a hammer)

That would work to but not for what maverick is talking about.

...actually a modded blowgun may work.....yes, now that's an idea. Well, being someone who changes his mind a lot, i've decided to go back to my single action lever operated pistol design. That's not to say I won't come back to this (i've already bought some of he parts), but for now, I am leaning toward making a pump action pistol. Thanks for all the help yall!

well......now I'm back on the pcp idea. I have an idea for using the innards of a blowgun for the hammer valve...I hope it will work.

I suppose I was a bit unclear...that's what I was trying to suggest.
Poor job on my part.
Check some of BTB's builds for details.
