Okay well as I told Hubb here, I had a cannon to go along with the barrel...
This one to be exact.
It is based around a 3/4 inch QEV from McMaster and the trigger is a blowgun pistol that I have been dying to get ahold of. The blowgun itself cost me almost $22 USD. Anyway, the chamber is 12 inches long and is made from 2 1/2 inch sch40 pvc that is pressure rated. I also had this pipe shipped to me, and I have no idea why I decide to make it into a chamber.
Anyway, this gun is simply fired like a RPG. You stick the chamber over your shoulder, aim, and pull the trigger.
I have been using this platform for a while to shoot various objects. I currently have 4 barrels; a 2 inch PVC for shooting Nerf Vortexes and big bouncy balls, a 1 1/2 inch SDR21 barrel for well... golfballs (DUH!), a 3/4 inch barrel for whatever and a 1/2 inch SCH80 barrel for shooting homade nerf stefens.
I am happiest with the Vortexes. With only 50 PSI, I can get these puppies literally over 200 yards with ease. I am launching them from my porch to the other side of my neighbors driveway. In between is a road, two creeks and a pond.
The golfballs also come out of this thing with surprising force. I haven't got ahold of anything that can be destroyed so I have no idea their full potential.
Along with all the good thing about this cannon, I have noticed a few things with the current setup that I may need to work on. First of all, the new trigger wont actuate the QEV under 33-35 PSI. Surprisingly, this actually irritates me. Anything more than 35PSI and the force of the air rips the homade stefens to shreds before they reach their target. Also, after I fire a vortex out of the 2 inch barrel, there is still some air inside the chamber which comes out the pilot.
Secondly, I really hate the RPG layout. It is the same way all off my last 3 or 4 cannons have been, so I have bought some more parts to fix that. I will use a 4 inch PVC coupler that has 4X3/4 inch threaded bushings in both ends to act as a chamber. I may need to cut down the bushings a little bit to give maximum air volume, but I think it will be worth it. The coupler will be attached to the QEV via 3/4 inch threaded nipple and on the other side of the coupler will be a stock setup I have made. This should hopefully give me the same volume, and still let me have a stock.
So I guess that's it... I'll post more when I'm good and ready.
*************
So I got around to painting it last night. Its pretty sick now. I only wish I had a remote HPA setup.
I added a front grip and gave a couple of the minis a paint job too.
While it was in pieces, I measured it and it came out around 24 inches long (barrel length). This could easily be thrown into a backpack and carried during a battle. Take it out, attach the barrel, pressurize it, and there you go. One tank killer ready to create havoc.

Yeah, it looks very ergonomic, nice one!
And those clamps on the barrel clamps to hold ammo. Nice.

Thanks guys. When I'm shooting vortexes I really don't mind the RPG layout, but for other things its a pain in the butt.

Very "tacticool", I like
If I could make an ambitious suggestion, replacing the chamber with an HPA feed and the blowgun pilot with a pop-off valve, and adding magazine (it would probably work with a tee magazine with the ammo stacked vertically, as I had done with airgun pellets here - the air pressure swings the projectile in the breech forward into the barrel - you'd have an awesome anti-tank cannon, you'd be going from this to this

Haha thanks for your support Jack.
As I said earlier, this is simply a valve platform. I can modify it to fit any specific need I may have.
For instance, one of my designs uses a semi auto form of the valve (basically just plug in a HPA feed instead of the schrader valve). It will use a bolt that is completely separate to move ammunition from a gravity fed magazine into the barrel. The bolt will be pump action. The whole barrel and pump system can be taken off without affecting the performance of the gun.
One version of this design is in 1.7 caliber (golfballs). It would use foam golfballs that I found at target and is also safe enough to use in a milsim game as a direct fire defense artillery weapon. Something similar to one of these, but in a larger caliber and has a mag instead of being belt fed.
Are there any ideas you guys can think of for re-creating heavy military weapons in a safe form?

nice.. I don't think there is any point in converting it to a semi... just keep it as it is or add a good breech loading mechanism

I'm sure no one will mind the necro post, this is a sweet setup.
The most unique thing about it is the three way valve. What kind of valve is this and where Can I get one?
I'd like to make a similar setup but i want to work in a regulator, gauge, and Refillable 20 0z CO2 tank.
I too am in to airsoft and I need something that I can reload quickly. Right now, i'm not concerned with making it semi auto, magazine fed, or breech loaded, I just want my air to be multi-shot.

Hi Maj. Tom,
if you're in the USA you should be able to find them quite easily of the internet. The same with AUS.
You seem to provide good info but in the future try not to post on old topics.

It's just a blowgun, not a 3 way valve...
but a 3 way valve would be better because it has minimal pilot volume
Qwerty is right, try ebay - there are lots of cool valves there...
Make sure you know what you need first -> Intro to DCVs
(note that they are not as complicated as they might seem)
You might also order a MJVO-3 from clippard - they are quite cheap (if you live in the USA) and should be ok for piloting 3/4" QEVs
