I have built two Pneumatic cannons and i love them. The only problem i have with them is the fact that i have to keep the air compressor going and having to keep filling it back up. Is there anyway to use air or C02 out of a paint ball gun to keep shooting without having to refill all the time.... If there is a way would someone help me out. I have tried searching and i evidently cant use the search correctly because it never looks up what i put in the search bar..
Thanks in advance

What sort of a valve are you using?

Well I thought of using a sprinkler valve. But I do not know if the valve will close after it shoots. I have had problems with those valves not wanting to close until all the air is out of the chamber. I was wanting to use a Paintball cylinder.. I guess i could use a separate chamber connected to the Paintball cylinder with a shutoff valve in the line..

Given enough flow, a sprinkler valve should reseal once the pilot is closed. You can also assist matters by including a spring to help the diaphragm shut.
You'll definitely need a regulator to keep things at 150 psi or so if you're using a sprinkler valve though.

i use a co2 tank>remote line (tank is back mounted for airsoft)>regulator> paintball thread to NTP adaptor>quick connect> chamber. i get alot of shots, and my field also has paintball, so i get all day co2 for $10. itts also the most portable system (or swap the tank for an HPA one) unfortunetly, the setup is worth around $300, so its a little pricey

If you want a cheaper setup you can use propane to fill your tank, but I don't know if it would have a negative effect on your diaphragm if you do end up using a sprinkler valve.

have a regulated co2 tank connected with a bal valve to your main chamber so for every shot just open the ball valve until the pressure equalizes then close it ant aside from loading your good to go

As for loading, make a breech loader (bolt action, coupler cover) or a simple tee mag.
