Its been about 5 years since I touched a spud gun (had one explode in my hands at 80psi 5.51BAR) was not pretty. but I learned a lot from that day especially on the use of pressure rated pvc.

Anyways here's my coming out of retirement build, its a "megah valve" with 3" ports on a 4" tee, giving it twice the surface area as the supah valve maybe I'll be shooting some 10' 2x4s lol.

I got the tee and 5" pvc round stock off ebay. the tee is schedule 80 it is a BEAST.

My design allows for an 1" of piston movement which should be more than sufficient according to my fellow engineers.

got about 14 hours of work and 80 dollars in this unit so anyone who thought the supah valves cost too much build one yourself and you'll see why.

Nice work ! I personally would have used something else then PVC for the piston and made it barrel sealing, but It's still a very nice valve

Thanks guys launcher is coming along, like I said I'm just waiting on shipping for the rest of the fittings.

does anyone know of local stores that sell 6" solid core pvc pipe? because right now my pressure tank is only 4".

Cold+PVC Tisk Tisk Tisk

PVC does become quite brittle at temperatures near freezing so you have to be careful when handling the cannon to make sure it doesn't bump in to anything. I would also advise against multiple firings in cold temperatures.

it was like 40 degrees out today no worries. I was a safe distance away from it too, tisk tisk.

That's me not trusting the glue lol. At 100psi There is over 1500lbs of force trying to push that fitting out

Well when you get the rest built you should take a red king size bed sheet to the jump field, paint a black dot in the middle, get the cannon ready, make the jump, take the shot during freefall while filming the results from the Gopro and ground levels and if you hit the bulls eye that would be shot of the century!

Wishfull thinking but probably not going to happen? Huh????

It could be doable lol. I would have to get my pro license though so I could jump over a farm field away from buildings and expensive planes I don't think the airport owners would appreciate holes in the roof of their hanger lol. Be a long shot too were supposed to pull by 3500 ft

Hmmmm, looks like you took all of the parts from a supah valve and put them in another tee..... Very cool upgrade though!!
