Hey guys new here, been researching DIY air cannons for about a week, I'm planning to design a paintball marker that uses 12g CO2, and of course I'm stuck on regulating the pressure down to below 100 psi without having a massive expensive 2 stage Regulator attached or breaking the bank on a Palmers Pursuit Regulator.

I have 2 questions...

Why is there none (If any) projects done with 12g co2?

would something like this work as a suitable reg? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Co2-Omnibus-Reg ... 1447403137

The first question is what do you hope to achieve by making your own marker as opposed to purchasing an existing one? Is it for reasons of cost or the fun of making your own, or is there a special performance goal you are seeking?

Basically youll get about 10 100psi shots from a bulb. So it can get expensive.
And no that reg is a flow reg not a preasure reg, ive been looking down this path for a long time and unless you want to turn the flow reg on and off each shot youll need a palmers. Just remember you if you get the right palmers you should be able to swap from 12g to paintball/ sodastream tank pretty easily
