Schrader Valve as dump valve?

Hi everyone. This is my first project and I'm wondering if my design is feasible.

I plan to attach a schrader valve (bicycle tyre type) to a hpa tank .The idea is, when a striker pin touches the schrader valve momentarily, it will trigger a sudden burst of air and fire the gun..

The striker pin is activated by way of a rod from manually- cocked nerf gun.

I'm open to ideas as long as it is not too complicated. Thanks

Yes, Leslie Proper uses schrader valves

Interesting build by Leslie. I'm wondering why people who steer away from this using schrader as dump valve? Is it inefficient?

I'm also wondering if there are ready made solution that i could purchase for a valve that screws in the top of HPA tank..

Extremely poor flow, more or less equivalent to a 1.75mm / 0.07" diameter hole, meaning it is only suitable for very small calibers and high pressure if you require reasonable performance.

I had tried one as a valve for a repeater, turned into a high pitch farting machine:

I've come across two other possible :
the screw on tank valve:

or the explosive air release valve on instructables:

any advise on which one works best is much appreciated
