DOMINATOR SHOTGUN

Cannon Name- Dominator Shotgun
Type of gun- Pneumatic
Chamber size- +/- 175 cc
Barrel size- 47 cm/ 2.6 cm inside diameter.
Gas Source- CO2
Valve- Piston valve actuated by 28mm ball valve

This gun is the new product of my evolution of shotguns.(All previous version can still be constructed by simply changing some parts)
Most important change..I added a CO2 bottle
and a regulator to charge the gun up to 300 psi.

Second I have added a breech loader,
the kind with a hole in the top and a rotating pipe to seal the hole.TH hole is so tight the marble has to be "clicked"in .From the hole I can push the marble all the way "home" for optimal use of barrel length.

I also put a slightly longer barrel on this version,
for that extra bitta umpf!!
And I shortened the piston housing to get a smaller pilot volume. The gasflow from the regulator can be turned off via a nice chrome valve.I do so to ensure the entire CO2 bottle doesn't become part of the pilot volume.( bit hard to excaust quickly  )
Unfortunately I quit my job as a bouncer a week ago,
so I have no money to get the darn bottle filled
But going by it's predecessors I know the power
will be SCARY!

Few specs for those who are not familiar with the first
two generations of my shotguns:

26 mm smoothbore pneumatic shotgun, piston valve,
actuated by a 28mm ballvalve.All metal, all hardcore.Ammo=1"marbles
They do mayor damage.Check out my sawed-off to get an idea. It's in the submit pneumatic section.
I can now open a valve ( a chrome one yess!!), twist the breech, pop in a 1" marble and fire!!
A dominator for sure!

12,000 psi of co2 is not possible, maybe at 300 F. You might see 1,200 psi and that still more then I've ever seen, even at 105 F.

I've had it up and over 300psi.It's more than enough.
Benny...sigh...what are you thinking??
I already duck down and keep stuff in front of me when I fire this thing because a ricichet would bust my head wide open. And I mean that!!
By the way; CO2 is at around 850 psi.

CO2 is at around 850 psi.
I hate to harp on this subject, but I think it's important that people understand. co2 can be very dangerous if you underestimate it!

At 70 degrees fahrenheit co2 is 853 psi, but at only 10 degrees more (90F) co2 reaches 969 psi. That's a 116 psi increase in only 10 degrees.

I understand if it can't be in the competition. It's not a whole new gun.If a mod should decide to keep me from entering, it's okay.
However...It is defenitly not the same!CO2 is a first for me.

If I where to buy a sprinkler valve an "just"add a chamber and a barrel, would that be better??

(edit) Pimpmann decided it will can be considered as" not finished"prior to the opening date of the contest.

AH, I see why you called it the dominator. It is awesome! I love it!
I think you should get a black cover for the co2 bottle though.
Forever dreaming...

Are you sure 90° Fahrenheit is only 10 degrees more than 70° F ?

And CO2 tanks have a burst disk that is rated to 3000 psi and they blow sometimes, so CO2 can get close to that high when over-filled and the conditions are right...

no video.I started on my new project( it works but is a long way from looking the way I want it.)I took off the bottle to use it on a portable strafer. So the gun is basicly just an improved sawed-off now.Almost back to it's former self.
The strafer uses half a vortex block and could be seen as a combination of a cloud and a vortex.
It's configured like a bullpup so the bb chamber will be all the way back in the stock.I have a 1 meter long barrel at this moment.I'll be using 5.5mm ( .20"?)lead bb's.
I will probably not put the bottle back on the shotgun untill the strafer is finished. Then I'll get some more fittings so I can use the bottle ( and the connected reg) on both guns without too much hassle.

The shotgun is simply too loud to shoot multiple times in my back yard in the middle of a city. The strafer can be fitted with a silencer, so shooting that will be less disturbing to my neighbours.Plus it would be more appropriate to enter it in the competition. This dominator shotgun is more of an upgrade than an actual whole new cannon.
