hey there... my new plan was to have co2 as my air source... however my valve is a moded sprinkler valve.... i had some horrible thoughts that because of all the pressure that is behind the valve... that it would cause it to explode?

i am goin to need some sort of valve from the co2 canister to the sprinkler valve as well... but i have no clue as to what i need...

i am trying to make a paintball gun... but i have no idea if i need a regulator and all the stuff inside a real PB gun... i have seen some recent ones placed on the site with small pipe (bigg enough to fit a .68 pb in) and they have only a modded sprinkler valve and a chamber w/ a shrader valve at the end... but the thing is i want mine to run on co2 and be almost exactly the same as a paintball gun (possibly with a hopper on it as well... only if thats possible)

You need a regulator to go between the co2 tank and the valve. You must also make sure liquid co2 doesn't get into the valve. Take a look at spudwiki at the top of the page, it will have usefull info on everything.

It could be tricky getting it to be semi-auto. I assume that you would like it to be because you said that you want it to be just like a paintball gun. You should look at Clide's "semi auto" for ideas. But that would be quite hard to make.
