Hi again, I was hoping that I could get some input on my almost-finished cannon. Currently, I have a 4-inch diameter, 18-inch long PVC pressure tank that attaches to a sprinkler valve via a bell-reducer, a bushing, a small piece of PVC, and a threaded bushing. I plan on sealing it all with PVC primer and Cement. I was wondering if this is too much for the pressure to go through? Specifically, I have a 4" - 2" bell reducer connected to the 4" tank, which then connects to a 2" - 1" bushing, which then connects to a short (maybe an inch long), inch-in-diameter, bit of pvc pipe, which then connects to a threaded bushing, which screws into the sprinkler valve. This seems a bit odd, but I couldn't find any 4" - 1" bushing at Home Depot. Basically, my question is: will this many parts narrowing down to the one-inch PVC pipe and then to the valve be able to hold the PSI from the holding tank?

I don't think bell reducers are NSF-PW meaning they can't hold much psi. Other than the bell reducer, the setup is fine. It just costs more and doesn't look as good. The different sizes don't affect the psi. 1" pvc is actually stronger than 4" pvc.

Thanks for your input on both of my posts. As for the bell reducer, that's helpful to know then, but what should I use instead, in order to connect the 4-inch tank to the one-inch sprinkler valve? (or to the 2"-1" bushing)

Are there any 4"-2" bushings? Then I would use a 2"-1" threaded bushing and get either a short 1" sprinkler riser or galvanized steel to get into the sprinkler valve.
