Well I needed a quick cannon to use to launch candy this easter out at the springs.
It features dwv bushings, Pressure rated cap, 4" Sch-80 pvc chamber, and a 3" abs barrel.
It works fine non-modded and works fine at 30 psi and pumps up easily with a bike pump.
I think its a lot of fun to shoot.
Maybe I'll get a tennis ball barrel for it.
My lowes only had 3/4 sprinkler valves that had no guide rod, all the 1" had them.
But it works fine, and is upgradeable.

Excellent, sometimes the quick builds are the funnest guns.

Please forgive my absent-mindedness, but how does the valve on your cannon work? Does a blowgun valve hook up to that, or is that it?

Thats it, I substituted a blowgun with a ball valve.mega_swordman wrote:Please forgive my absent-mindedness, but how does the valve on your cannon work? Does a blowgun valve hook up to that, or is that it?
S actually there is very little stress on the valve and fittings.
My barrel setup is extremely light and my chamber isn't heavy at all.

Well its on deathrow right now. I'm going to return teh sprinkler valve to lowes because it had a faulty diaphragm that wouldn't seal.
I might build a piston valve with the money. 2"T 1.5" porting or 3/4" for paintballs.

Harsh. I've had dozens of sprinkler valves and never did I have a problem with a diaphragm not sealing.
For what it's worth (and I have no idea where you are), there's a Home Despot (cough) that has a sale on Toro Sprinkler valves, 20% off all irrigation products. This is in Chicago, IL.
