im in the process of building my first pneumatic and im planning to build it first with a schrader valve to fill with air,but will eventually like to modify to also shoot using co2.my question is,when i hook up a co2 tank, which will be regulated with a stablizer valve, when i shoot it once, using a sprinkler valve, does the pvc air chamber start refilling as soon as i open the valve to shoot?in other words,if i want to fill my chamber with co2,approx 100 psi,do i close the valve on the c02 tank once i reach 100 psi so it will not continue to try filling the pvc chamber once i fire the gun once?wasnt sure if i need to very quickly open the valve via electric switch or blow gun and let it go so as not to loose any more co2 that the tank is refilling into the chamber?i asume the regulator will allow the co2 to keep filling the chamber till it reaches the set limit of what i set the regulator?i would also assume that if i hold the sprinkler valve open or blow gun, then the co2 would keep coming out.so,do how do i use the co2 correctly?it seems to me that the co2 will auto fill with the use of the regulator, but it also seems that it will waste co2 ??all new to this.please help.thanks guys.

I would recommend a palmer reg to do what you want. And to answer your question about filling.Yes the chamber will fill immediatley once the pressure drops. You will need a on/off in between or else the valve will honk as it fills and waste a lot of gas.The trick is to slowly build up the pressure in the tank.Otherwise sprinklers have a hard time sealing.
