holy shiz!!!! nice cannon!!! but whts with the bike pump? it it a hybrid?
What did I say about asking that question?
It was initially planned as a hybrid, but I didn't bother fixing all the leaks, so I just used it for venting or adding a bit more air to the mix when it was too fuel-rich.
Right now I've removed the pump, as I'm planning on a simplified system. But it'll take a while until I can find the time to complete it, so it may be subject to changes I can't yet foresee. Maybe I'll make it a hybrid after all. I'm open to suggestions.

i reccon its got just a little too much stuff on it. must weigh heaps. but nonetheless it looks awesome. would be awesome for target shooting. do you ever shoot marbles out of it?
It doesn't weigh much, since the chassis is wooden. The chamber is obviously the heaviest part, but since it's way at the back, it's well balanced overall.
Haven't found marbles to fit the caliber. Come to think of it, it's been years since I last came across any kind of marbles. They're not so popular around here.
Still haven't come across a reliable source of carbide, but I probably haven't looked hard enough. Kind of busy with other stuff these days.

ive seen something like this, almost the same, cool combustion cannon, everything is packed in it, ive made one before similar with the concept but i just break it, i just got bored using it, cops here roam like dogs and get your toys thats why i break it
Thanks, aesthetics have always been an important aspect. Since it's been sitting in a corner for about a year, it's quite a good thing, too.
@jaffe: I don't know if I mentioned it in this thread or on the description page or if I just wanted to and it slipped my mind but I did not make the ignitor circuit, it was taken out of a cheap electric lighter (something like the BBQ lighters that run on batteries).
Now that I know a lot more about electronics I could build them myself, but it's not worth the trouble. The lighters are about 2 USD each and I've already got 2 more and a camera circuit.
The AMC is still on standby; right now I'm working on a crossbow and I've got plans for a larger combustion cannon and maybe a sniper hybrid or pneumatic.
