Not quite. Galvanized pipe is not only an overkill for a basic combustion, it's expensive, and completely unnecessary.

well i think that it would be a better idea for say propane or something like that. and it isn't that much more really mabe a few bucks, make just the combustion chamber out of steel and the barrel out of pvc.

Steel is nothing short of completely unnecessary for anything less than a hybrid gun, or an extreme pressure pneumatic.

wow its been so long since ive been here and that gun got long scraped. Igniters u can get for big W here in aus, near the bbq's

And theres no point in the steel combustion chamber, totall overkill.

nice to see people liked my effort tho :P

How is extra cost, weight, less ergonomics and aesthetics better?

All it adds is extra safety, which isn't needed considering the materials and pressures used. It's total overkill.
