I still am uneasy about your HV wires still being zipped together. Also, the hose clamp holding the stungun is precariously close to one of the HV leads as it heads to the chamber connections. Beware these are potential arcing points under the right conditions.

That long barrel should offer you lots of performance! Damage looks impressive.

Yes. One neighbor has a couple ~18 year olds with loud cars the their always quiet and inside, and the other neighbors are rednecks. the hevk chickens. In town. Yeah. I am shooting into the state park so that helps out.

I havent seen any signs of arching yet. I think the heavy gauge of the wire plays a part in preventing arching. I guess I'll find out if I get shocked....

Great work! Now slap a golf ball barrel and a coat of paint on it. If you think spud damage is cool wait till you see what one of those little white pockmarked balls does!

I might build a pneumatic golf ball gun.... I'm limited to about 100psi though. Is that enough preassure?

I'll get a formal vid and more pics next time I take it out. I'll go to my cousins farm a few times this summer and I'll take it out there.

Enough pressure for what? With my 2" piston golf ball cannon I'm BLOWING holes clear through a new piece of 3/4 plywood from 50 feet, I wouldn't doubt it going through 1 inch no problem either. It honestly depends on what your build is going to look like.

I don't know exactly what size everything is.. I don't even know if I'm going to build one. Just planning. I am limited to a small air compressor that maxes out at about 100psi. I might use a piston valve, a sprinkler valve, or maybe a combination of any valve with a burst disc.

How many psi do you use in your pneumatic?

I usually go anywhere from 60-85 for firing I believe, my gauge is terribly broken. It operates anywhere from around 25 PSI though.

that's how I built it if you plan on going that route, also a small video of 40 PSI shots at the bottom. I use a 3 gallon husky compressor

I have a little update. I am revisiting the project. I have improved some things. I am on the hunt for a husky regulator and I need a new switch for the fan along with better wiring.

So far I have re-done the propane meter and I have gotten a new chamber fan and stun gun, although they are slightly damaged from the barrel falling over. I might get a project box for the stun gun...

Is the propane gonna be mounted to the gun?

The propane is attached with two magnets. I got them at kjmagnetics

The bottle will come off if you really shake the chamber, but under normal use the bottle stays perfectly. It does flop around a little, but it doesn't bother me at all.

I took it out for the first time this year.

I had no misfires due to incorrect propane mixture, altough one shot was weak. I had a few problems with my taser sparking across the default gap. I am going to re-solder all my wires back on with my new, more powerful iron. I am going to sand all of my contacts. Hopefully that will produce a more reliable spark.

Still saving up for the husky regulator..

I made a little vid. It sucks, but shows a little. This is a little $20 camera made for attaching to remote control planes. It works pretty good as that or a helmet cam on a bike, but unless you have fooled around with it for awhile you'll have trouble working it, and aiming it.

We were looking for (nuisance) turkeys, and we saw some, but we never had the gun ready. (or a bow and arrow for that matter!)

I made a SWEET mod too. I eliminated lots of wiring and complications. On the tazer, the switch has off, spark on, and spark & alarm on. I had cut the connection to the alarm long ago, and I got the idea to hook up the fan to the alarm circut. I found a place where I was getting 9-10v and soldered up my fan. It worked great! Now I have one battery, one switch, and one trigger. I have two sets of cat5 wires going places instead of even more wires going to multiple switches and buttons. I might make a demonstration video in the future.

Maybe I should take some pictures and start a thread on it?
