Hmm ok, I still prefer Ol' pressure pipe to that.

Why is it that every time someone posts a cannon that is constructed of ABS everyone has to argue about which is better/safer ABS or PVCr??? Cant we all just agree to disagree?? I Understand the amount aof care one spudder has for another spudder especially when it comes to saftey, but in all reality does anyone who safely, carefuly and wisely constucts a cannon of the combustion nature no matter what the material have it explode in their general area?? NO The ones that do are the 14 year old idiots who throw one together to impress their friends.

Lol well said malman, im 13 so i wont take offence to the 14 year old idiot thing. besides i always use pressure rated pvc in my pneumatics and only use them when appropreaite and safe to do so, coz i know some dickheads my age that would screw it up

Even cats, according to your avatar.
"Anyone who has done some reasearch can safely build a cannon" would probably be a better statement.
That way we cut responsibilty for any prats that blow themselves up.
The greatest risk is probably to people that try to copy friend's cannons or what they've half seen on TV or the net without reading up/asking their friend.
Imagine a "Chinese Whispers" cannon - where so much safety information is lost that... well you can guess.
By the way, damned nice cannon there. The handle is good, and the ratio looks pretty good. All respect to your friend.
What is normally fired and how far will it go/what will it go through?
I'll ask what fuel you use as well. Always interesting.

In a combustion you get under 60 psi of pressure.not enough to blow it out.reaper613 wrote:ya know one day one of the screws you people use as contacts is going to blow out and into your skull
Your more liekly to have a fitting go because it has more surface area.
I have a pneumatic at 150 psi with a 1/4 in guage threaded directly into plastic and it will never blow even at that pressure. And it has more SA than a screw.
