<div align="center">CANTELOUPE CANNON

Provided By - DR

This afternnon I successfully launched 7 canteloupes, and 2 small watermelons. They averaged in weight from 3 1/2 lbs. to a little over 4 lbs.

The Chamber and Barrel is one length of PWEAGLE 6" IPS SDR21 pipe rated @ 200psi.-- the Chamber portion is 42" long, and estimated at 1253.33 cubic inches. This includes the area inside of the female adapter, and the hollow portion of the 6" endcap. The Barrel portion of the pipe is 60" long, giving me an estimated 0.74:1 ratio.

I used a 1/2" x 12" meter pipe set @ 100psi, and injected twice for each shot. ( 4.507 % fuel mixture ) -The "report" of each firing was louder than my 4" Unione'd Hybrid with a 2x/2atm mix.

I had this thing strapped to an aluminum ladder (that folds into many different configurations). I had to brace the edge of my shoe against the rear foot of the ladder for each shot because the recoil was alittle more than I had expected.

Each shot ( at about a 20 degree angle ) went well over 100 yds. A 55 gallon drum was annihilated. A "JR. Football" was lost in the rocky hillside. - But no distance records set. I need to fabricate some sort of cradle or box so that I can shoot at 35- 90 degree angles.

"IF" this thing generated close to 40psi, it will have put out the same amount of "thrust" as dual 2" pnuematic valves dumping (unrestricted) at 178psi!

sigh....... please use the search button and the wiki.

A chamber fan does

1 makes a better mixture of oxygen and propellant

2 vents the chamber quicker.

Wow, this must have cost you a pretty penny for that 6" pipe. Ammo must be expensive, too, for cantelopes. That pipe is really clean, though, I like it. Only thing I can see wrong with it is minor, you should have made a pvc or some type of bigger meter pipe so you only have to inject it once and at a low pressure so that when your tank gets low, you're not injecting it 4+ times.
I wish I had a better signature...
