i'm still trying to find camlocks for my noise cannon. no luck obviously or i wouldnt be writing. can you tell me what they are primarily used for. i dont really want to tell the salesman i'm building a cannon. he'll probably take down my license plate number or something. thanks.
Look at farm supply stores, Tractor Supply carrys some. I bought my poly ones at Northern Tool and Equipment. McMaster carrys them online as well...BCarms offers the 2" and 3" I believe. You won't find them at Lowes or Home Depot.
They are used primarily with heavy duty sprayer equipment and other farm implements.

i wanted to thank you guys for the help with my cannon. i tried the 3 layer masking tape disk and it was loud. a good echo off the buildings across the lake. i only used hairspray so far since i'm not sure how to fill it with propane. i'm guessing propane will be even louder. i made my own cam lock type device using a pvc reducer with a slotted hole and a pin thru the barrel, only because i was too eager to wait for camlocks.

make the cannon really big and fire scrunched up newpaper balls or socks out of it, great fun for scaring people

So i promise you the videos real. I thought i was the only one to make one so loud,im not sure what he’s got inside his but I’ll tell you how to do it. Take your normal cannon and add cans. I stumbled across this profane noise cannon made from tin cans and thought why can’t I shove that in my potato cannon so I did and boy was I impressed.
Take four cans in one can cut out an inch hole in the next can drill a bunch of 1/8 and 1/4 inch holes the third can do the same thing and the fourth can cut out almost the entire bottom leave about a quarter inch of the bottom tape them in that order and put them in the top of your blast chamber.
