Just finished my first cannon. I will be using static guard for fuel. How much fuel should I use? The barrel is 1.5"dia. 36" length and the combustion chamber is 4"dia. 10" length. BBQ ignition.

For that size chamber maybe 1-3 seconds of fuel. That is really just an estimate, the easiest way to figure it out is to just experiment with it.

Just "Eye ball" it, thats what i do with my combustion cannon that i use hairspray for. I do usually like 3 second spary, then put the lid on the end without screwing it on, then tilting the lid open so I could spray 3, 1 second sprays. Bcuase Before you get the cap on you lose problaly 1 second of the spray you did before, so It probably evens out to 5 seconds of spray.

First test will be tonight. Any other info would be helpful. Ammo will probably be golf/ping pong balls and potatoes

well actually the less you use the more power you get. so keep that in mind.

basically following f.c' advice don't over do it. Put in enough to make you worry about it but not enough to make you chicken out. That's my philosophy in fuel measurements.
