ok, so i realize they make a spark to set off the mixture but what exactly are they? and where do you buy them from?
this is off topic of the title but, i was wondering could you spray and aerosol can into a Schedar valve to fill the combustion chamber up?

They are piezo BBQ ignitors and can be found at hardware stores or online spudgun stores. Check out the spudfiles sponsors.

You can get one even cheaper from a piezo cigarette lighter:

Not going to happen. But you could potentially inject butane or propane through a schrader with a syringe...

Yep, that's a common one. $15 is a bit pricey ($8 + $8 shipping). Your local hardware store probably has them for less. Check near the BBQs.

This is the one I have in my current cannon:
(As linked above)
I bought mine at Menards (hardware/home store) for less than $8.00
Thinking maybe the spark isn't "hot" enough? Dunno, but my cannon won't ignite.

If you can barely see the spark, then it is more then "hot" enough to ignite your mixture.
If the cannon doesn't ignite with a visible spark, then it's your fuel mixture.
