How to inject MAPP through a Schrader valve?

Harness the power of precision mixtures of pressurized flammable vapor. Safety first! These are advanced potato guns - not for the beginner.

Has anyone injected MAPP through a Schrader valve? I searched the forums for a how-to but couldn't find one.

Get one of those tire filling guns and screw the hose off. Then attach it to your metering setup.
If you do that you have a almost universal meter.

The hose from a shock pump is better since it is a "no leak" connector.

Edit: -_- beat me.

Careful with the heat pressure when your pumping in the compressed gases. Also I'm not sure of this but I think I read that you have to "modify" the schrader valve to crack open at a low psi to be able to let the MAPP or whatever gas in

Unless the attachment from the pump has a small stem which forces it open when attached to the schrader.

I also know that JSR modded his pump with some orings to not let any air or in this case MAPP out, when he disconnects this attachment from the schrader, beacuase usally a tiny amount of air leaks out (if your trying to get a hybrid mix in there you can't afford losing that small amount of MAPP or w-e)...Maybe he can tell us where exactly he put these orings.. :?:

Well for one thing, you could make a cylinder to pump mapp into via modded torch head, then at the end of the cylinder have a schrader adpater with ball valve.
Yeah, it's that important.

How would this "pumping" take place.. I would say you make a touch meter fueling system... NOW thats pretty awwesome

Well pumped was misused in that sentence but since mapp tanks are 100-150 psi it would surely fit your needs.
Yeah, it's that important.

Haha Mapp semi anyone? Well if you wanted to you could make an actual pump for mapp with a floating o ring and what not.
Yeah, it's that important.

Okay thanks for all the suggestions.

I wonder if the connector and hose from a shock pump could be bought separately, if not it would be quite a waste to buy a shock pump and dissect it just for that.

You can just attach a quick connector from a compressor hose to it and use male fittings and a ball valve on your guns. Makes it more prectical IMO.

if you don't want to buy some special fittings, you could just take the core out and use a syringe.

edit- is 18 days kicking up a dead thread?
