Wow,you to should start your own IM group.

I have used a 2L milk jug sized piece of gel and have had marbles got about half way through it at around 400fps or so, with the gel facing long ways that is.So with your gun at say a 5x mix I'm expecting to see some good penetration maybe even through a 2L sized chunk and it is re-usable.

I am damn sure that it will penetrate around a foot of gel. Call me optimistic if you want

Water can be used as an approximate substitute for ballistics gel, simply divide penetration in water by two and you get a rough result.

Looks good, I have to make some meself one day to test the relative lethality of high subsonic airsoft BBs :D

Have a look here for some comprehensive ballistics gel tests of various calibres, good for comparison :)

Thats a good site, you always have a lot of them up your sleeve JSR.

I'm going to make up a batch and go comparisons now got me wanting to see how far I can get a 12 gauge slug into some gel.

Definitely do some testing with your subsonics BBs guns they most definitely will be lethal! :)

Ooh, lovely work. What I could do with some machined parts.

I've never built a hybrid - haven't ever been that interested. When my pneumatics aren't powerful enough, I just put more pressure in. So, I'm now wondering how HEAL would handle BG, but that's a question to be answered another time.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

This might be a dumb question, but has anyone ever done a hybrid mix with deseil fuel?

i feel like that would be extremely powerful. if it can move a Tractor Trailer Truck, it can shoot something.

The ones that didn't make it all the way through were shot with a shorter barrel if my memory is correct, but the ones that passed through would of been doing about 400-500 fps range.

Give it a go you'll be surprised by the outcomes of your cannons.

Looks like a good creation. I just now saw it, (haven't been getting all the way down the forums list to Hydrid Showcase. Not enough time in the mornings...), and I have to say that's the tiniest hybrid I've ever seen. Well, actually, there was this guy named killagorilla a while ago who made a few tiny ones, but they were made out of pen tubes and such.

I agree with the fueling thing. Perhaps you could try something like this with an accurate medical syringe? At higher mixes, your error propagation will be higher, so accuracy is a must if you are planning to go around 6-10x mixes or such...

EDIT: Damn transparency key. That looks like crap... oh well, you get the gist of it.
