What about lining the interior of the combustion chamber with those adiabatic bags, like the hermetics ones..... Because the loss of energy....

A metal chamber absorbs heat and technically reduces power, he is suggesting insulating it.

Expanding foam to be honest I don't imagine it would make an enormous difference in power.

You'd have to insulate the inside of the chamber not the outside.
I'm pretty sure anything on the outside would make near to no difference on a chamber with thick metal walls with such a short burn time, the projectile will be long gone before the walls heat up and then start heating up the surrounding air.

Well in that case, I'd say it does have an effect along with chamber geometry and exposed surface area. But you're not exactly going to tell unless you actually measure projectile speed.
Even a 10% difference would be hard to notice when just shooting at point blank range.
I'm pretty sure anything on the outside would make near to no difference on a chamber with thick metal walls with such a short burn time, the projectile will be long gone before the walls heat up and then start heating up the surrounding air.

It doesn't make much difference in hybrid guns. I think the way HGDT handles heat loss is probably somewhat accurate, and setting the system to 'adiabatic' produces little difference at high mixes.
A normal combustion may benefit, but remember that most of the energy being lost is still in the form of infrared light. You'll want to avoid traditional insulation in favor of a polished aluminum/copper chamber lining.
In theory it should put most of the emitted IR energy back into the combustion gases, but it's never been tested at this point.
