Nice hybrid you got there! I am sure that every spudder looks forward to the day when he/she finally builds a hybrid and submits it... well, your time is now!

Have you had any problems fueling and firing it? I know that the people who didn't use generation II fueling systems had problems achieving ignitable mixes.

Do you have any good damage pictures? I am sure that it is very powerful.

I'm sure you already know this, but you could definitely slap on a much longer barrel on this beast. Right now, your chamber to barrel ratio is just over 1:1.

Again, great job on this one!

Looks good, I see you didn't go the cheapest way on it ( :D , ball valves around here are $14 US, about $17 Canadian for a 1/4" one).
The remote ignition looks like more than I could get to work, I think I'll just keep my 6" long BBQ igniter wires.

Oh, I almost forgot! The reason my hybrid hasn't been working is that I was injecting propane 4 times and then adding the 5x air mix (~60 psi). Unfortunately, I took the meter and stuff off the mixing tank, so now I have to go find it in my jungle of a workshop.

I initially had numerous problems getting it to fire, due to the fact that my meter design prevented the incoming air from effectively mixing with the fuel
thats exactly how mine works.

nice gun you got there, i like the fact it kinda looks like under the sink in my house, just kidding.

very nice hybrid.

Put a layer of neoprene behind the pop can and then put it in the union?

what is a generation II fueling system? i ask this because i was just realizing last night that i can make a hybrid for under 10 dollars because of all the stuff my dad has. except the fire extingusher.....

Does anyone have advice on getting pop can burst disks to seal? Today I fired it a bunch of times using milk jug burst disks, but although they seal well, they seem to be bursting quite early. I tried using a piece from a pop can, but it leaked about 2psi per second at a 4x mix. I tried coating the disk in pipe thread sealant, and it still leaked, so I began to wonder if the disk was at fault. I pressurized it with the on board Mapp tank, and held a lighter to all threaded connections. Upon reaching the union, a massive fireball erupted, and engulfed the whole union in flame. I was thinking about coating the disks in silicone sealant, and allowing it to cure before placing them in the union.
did u put a rubber gasket in the union? if u didnt i am surprised u got it to hold any pressure..if u did put a gasket in the union then u could try tightening it a little more with a pipe wrench. i always give mine a little twist with a pipe wrench just for no leaks..

Yeah, if you want a perfect seal in a union you need to something for the disc to seal against. In all PVC unions, there is a small O-ring on one of the flanges. You need to get a small rubber gasket for yours. I found my gaskets in the same aisle as the steel fittings, in a row above the shelves next to the Teflon tape.
