and im pretty sure the gun was designed around paint ball or something similar so it would need a quick reload time
For the hard work and the looks.... it wouldnt be all that great. You would need to have valve for each chamber so only one is used at a time, making it bulky and cumbersome. All that effort for only one extra shot... If anything make the chamber bigger so you get a big bang, but then again, its a "sniper" isnt it.
Got any other ideas on making the dual chamber? My eyes are dead, so thats the only one I could think of

But that applies only if you want to carry a gas bottle on your back, so it really depends on who is using it. I personally wouldn't want to, but I'm sure that a lot of people wouldn't mind.chaos wrote:

Although both methods could be applied, and you can get two shots per reload via the gas cylinder.
With the size of the chamber and valve on this cannon? It would not make much of a difference in size, and a spare charge could save a lot of time in a paintball match.integral wrote:

ithink you ment inline?, im not sure if inline piston valves have ever been made..ever.
co-axle on the other hand, could surly be used, even with a small chamber on a coaxile would be fine

A coaxial would work perfectly in this design. I was going to make one but at the time I didn't have enough experience. I actually just finished my first Co-ax today.

The chamber is sleeved for looks and those chips are only on the outer piece of pipe.

Nice gun bud, did you get the idea from the new tipman? They have a new propane powered paintball gun. Or maybe they got it from you.. The good thing about it is that you could incorporate special effect as you shoot. Place some sort of ignitor at the end and you would be laughing mate. It may return back into the chamber, but it would easily retain the pressure. Good work, and it looks impressive too.

The new Tippman is actually a combustion. I've shot this and my other bigger guns at a flame with propane and the fireball for the big guns was big this one wasn't really good.

Firstly, it depends on the size tank you have of coursei got two questions. first how many shots do get from one tank of propane? second how do you know you have enough propane in the chamber if you have no gauge? thanks
Secondly, you dont know, thats why you have a guage, but people have made ghetto metering devices (syringes etc) which is not advisable.

The propane will only flow until it reaches around 120psi, depending on ambient temperature. So I just open the valve on the tank until the hissing sound stops. The expansion rate of liquid propane is 270:1 so at 15 degrees celcius so according to my (dodgy) maths I should be able to get around 2700L of gaseous propane or 85 909 fills of the tank on this gun. That sounds reaaalllly huge so if I did something wrong (likely) please correct me.
