Combustion airsoft with shells

I'm trying to work out a way for this to work. Tell me if the plan so far is good, it should be as it is designed from a real gun. The only issue I have now is how to load and take out the shell (blue in the drawing). It also needs to all fit into an outer case, which I think I will make out of wood and laminate to make it weatherproof.

I had tried using fuel/air cartridges in the course of my experiments but at 6mm calibre the power was simply too low to warrant further development.

i would take it from this angle one it would look more targety so to speak plus more reliable plus more professional and i bet it would be more accurate but who knows im just a loser that loves his MS paint too too much

uhm I think this type of device goes against spudfiles rules

for a breach loading gun, especially one powered by gun powder you face the problem of sealing violent gases, a problem that hampered development of breach loading guns for centuries. Making firearms isn't as easy as it looks, and it appears that you don't know even know how to make a working trigger system, right now the spring pressure on the firing pin will push the wheel even when the trigger isn't pulled.
this shows me you haven't done your research to do this safely so I am not going to help you with this and I advise others to do the same

Meh, no problem. The thinking is I believe that it would draw unneeded and unwanted "legal law" attention to the site.

Yeah, I understand. At school when I show friends my plans, they think its cool, and then I show them something like this and they give me kind of a strange look, lol.

I would stay a way from using any thing with gunpowder. My frineds dad is a certified gunsmith, and he has a PhD. in Physics and math. You also have to be a VERY GOOD machinest, there is no room for error, or you put your life at risk.

alright well im going to take the side of The Engineer just because is am a thru and thru gun geek(NOT THE KIND THAT SHOOTS UP SCHOOLS) i have made several different fire arms from a 1911 80% to a .22 design from the picture. Any ways there are safer ways of making powder guns such as chambering them for .22 CB so in other words if u have just a primer and a bullet u will have low pressure with mediocre performance. also not to rip on u bud put that trigger will never work u should probably go with a 2 piece sear/ trigger.

haha, yeah. The trigger wasn't designed to be great, but believe it or not it does work. The extension spring just has to be really strong, and the part right behind the nick that's holding back the 'firing pin' has to be shaved down a bit.

The point though is that combustion spudguns escape the "firearm" definition in many jurisdictions specifically because they don't burn powder, which is why the discussion of the latter sort of launchers is not allowed on this forum. We already walk a fine line in legal terms, it's best not to push our luck

I think the closest we can come to some sort of 'primer' is either a micro-size peizio on every shell, or if you can find any, electric primers.

Or one piezo on the launcher that connects with the cartridges...
