Hey all Imortal here its been a while since I posted so I figured I fill you in on today's activities. I had a friend over and we build a turret gun out of some spare parts. Yup, so 5 hours time, a cheap Glock, a remote control airplane servo set, half a CD rom drive, some PVC, a few pieces of string and a bit of hot glue really can get you a working turret gun. We still have to put in the firing mechanism but the turret it self is complete. Any way here is the link to the vid. Sorry about the camera quality! Not my camera!

No matter how rich you become, how famous or powerful, when you die the size of your funeral will still pretty much depend on the weather.

You've marked the video as private - we can't see it.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

Cool. Now it needs auto targeting and auto reload - some nuttiness like from Equilibrium, because that would be seven layers of awesome.

Crap... now I want to do that.

if you mount an infrared camera on the gun...
AUTOTARGETING!

also, you can just use the RC plane's propeller motor to fire it, if you attach a disk off center, directly to the shaft, and put that where your finger goes.

Were planning on using another of the servos from the RC set to control the firing and at some point we will be mounting a small, wireless, camera on it. we also plan on getting a larger mag for it. as far as auto reload goes I may have to look into that...

Bravo. Bravo.

Instead of putting it on a walking robot, why not just build a set of tracks for it. It looks to be fairly lightweight. Get small remote controlled tank (I picked one up at MonopoMart a while back for about 20 bucks). Install your tracks and now you have a wondering turret.

Oh wow
That's pretty badass :D
I'd give it some kind of trigger system and put a gas gun or electric gun on it so you don't have to recock it before every shot.

Man, you guys have way too much time on your hands. (but dont we all? 8) )

That thing rates as a ten for total awsomeness.
I agree with Hubb, get a tank, or better yet a fast RC car and mount this baby! A small camera or two and maybe a laser and you have an RC scout for your airsoft battles.

What is this "Free time" you speak of? I have never heard of such a thing.
