BDC AXE Missile Prototype.
hey guys as some of you may know I just recently got a couple preloaded burst disk cartridges designs finished and I thought I would post my BDC AXE missile prototype. The housing for the missle isnt finished and either is the outer look of the missle but it works. In the video I fire the gun by hand only because the missile launcher isnt finished and I really want to show you guys my prototype. The burst disk cartridge is made from the following parts: Tire Valve, 1" SCH40 Cap, 1" Pipe, 1" coupling or some sort of coupling action to pinch the burst disk down. The actual burst disk material is 1 sheet of sticky foil tape.
Here are some pics of the prototype as well as a video of me firing it by hand.

Instructional video:
Firing Video: Coming Soon!!! (Tomorrow)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: This is not an actual explosive missile. In fact the "missile" is primarily stationary throughout the whole firing experience. The missile is just a preloaded burst disk cartridge.
Another note: I realize this could of gone in the pneumatic section however since the primary use is for Airsoft I decided to put it here.

You should line two of those babies together on a wooden stock and you would have a sawn off shotty right there. Are these going to be intended to be fired by a trigger because it would be perfect then.

I would use my smaller shells then. These things are kinda long (about 2ft).FordGtMan wrote:You should line two of those babies together on a wooden stock and you would have a sawn off shotty right there. Are these going to be intended to be fired by a trigger because it would be perfect then.
I would use these for a double barrel shotgun:
video of one of them firing in immortal's shotgun
I'm actually working on a rocket launcher and a Rotating Triple Barrel Grenade Launcher with wood furniture and a g36 stock.
Well damnit, looks like you got your work cut out for you... How are they going to be triggered?I'm actually working on a rocket launcher and a Rotating Triple Barrel Grenade Launcher with wood furniture and a g36 stock.

Well since I use a co2 duster as the main source of air they actually fill up so fast they go off as soon as i hit the button. So yeah the co2 duster will be the trigger.
Well the rotating part is pretty much finished and the wood is sanded and ready to be stained tomorrow and then its just a matter of epoxying some parts and some painting.
The wood is pine and it is going to be stained with a Red Oak stain.

Is it very powerful? Is the burst disk held in there very tightly as to not leak or fall out?
You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.
