Don't worry, I got it In spudgun terms I suppose the analogy holds, I mean any smaller and essentially the ammunition is dust I could have gone with these but that would just be showing off

Uhh no, he housed this build inside of a schrader valve, why ruin it to use lower pressure butane? If anything that would lower performance.wyz2285 wrote:Actually you can make one with the same size but more powerful by using a refill system form a lighter, so you can left more space for air.
Yeah, it's that important.

Mr. Sandman you aren't understanding correctly. There is a way to get a one-way valve from a lighter. It would be much more compact, but I don't know how well it would handle pressure
I love lamp

I'm sure a lighter valve would take the pressure, but you'd need to make a special filling station in order to charge it.

I understand it perfectly, but the fact of the matter is that lighter valves are only meant for butane's low pressure and you'd have to make a special filling station in order to fill it.Lockednloaded wrote:Mr. Sandman you aren't understanding correctly. I assume you mean for tires? And that is not true...They can hold huge amounts of of pressure, didn't someone test one to 10,000 psi? And they are not just for tires, there are clamp-in schraders for pipe and screw-in schraders for pipe, etc. etc. etc.Scrader valves are only built for types, typically 30psi.....

Gipetto used one up to 10k psi but the core was destroyed.

Yeah, but they can and are used for MUCH higher pressures. My dad's truck's tires take 60 psi, and they use schraders. And spudders have been using schraders to many hundreds of psi for quite some time with almost no problems.typically 30psi.....

Yeah that's fine, but there was a post earlier saying that the fill valve from a lighter wouldn't be suitable for a spudgun because it is typically used in low pressure. And I highlighted the fact that scraders are mass used and designed for a low pressure application but can be used in a spudgun.
I have taken automotive scraders valves to 200BAR/3000psi in my theoben rapid and have had no problems

Schrader valve have a very sturdy metal construction. I don't think the lighter valve does...
