The "bad" focus is deliberate in order to draw attention to particular features - honestly!
Also, did you re-polish yours? With the humidity in epoxyland polished brass seems to matt up fairly quickly.

Lol... there I was thinking it was some brass heat treatment I hadn't heard ofGun Freak wrote:Putting it in a case.
Yeah, I suppose keeping it away from sweaty palms will help - but for the time being at least, as an answer to "how are you getting on with your new toys?", it needs to be passed around

So jsr, not to get off topic of what you guys are talking about, but when is the arsenal of preloaded cartridges in the shape of pen guns going to come out?

Consider a few things:warhead052 wrote:So jsr, not to get off topic of what you guys are talking about, but when is the arsenal of preloaded cartridges in the shape of pen guns going to come out?
- machining takes a bit more thought than quickly mixing up some epoxy and is considerably more labour intensive, so well over half of the work goes into the designing and planning, ideas are best refined on paper before being hewn out of virgin bar stock. The brainstorming that went into the subject of this thread took longer than the build itself.
- I work for a living, while I am lucky enough for my position to allow me easy access to spudfiles, sadly it does not allow me the same hours to be spent at my workbench
- Not all research and development is necessarily suitable for and published on these hallowed pages

You're right. How many hours do you get on your workbench a week? There's only one thing left to do with the pen guns at this point, make em better.
