I think an oxy-acetylene powered combustion gun would beat almost all pneumatics , but building a safe one would be next to impossible. And you'd need a license to store acetylene over here

Go with a pneumatic!!!!!!!!!!!! Combustions are hard to shoot. Either there is too much fuel or the spark isnt working. Pneumatics are relyable. You can adjust how far you shoot by putting more psi or more psi. If you make a pneumatic mod a sprinkler valve. They work much better than a ball valve.

You could always go with a hybrid! Those things are awesome! Really hard to make though.

pimpmann22 wrote:I think what your trying to say is pnuematic or combustion. Seeing as you have already made one cannon you might want to make a pnuematic gun because they are harder to cnstruct and shoot farther. I have expressed my opinion about this before to and i think the only real thrill in a pnuematic is the construction process. Shooting combustions are so much funner to shot (I think). A big BOOM and a flame is some much cooler then a rush of air. If your wondering i have also built a pnuematic gun before and the only thrill was making it. I dont know if you should listen to my opinion seeing as it is a miniorty (who have the same opinion as me) and the rest of the spud gunners that arent in my minority they seem to like pnuematic. I hope i have given you good idea of what you want to do. Sorry for it being so long
Mabe I am naturally skilled in neumatics but for me combustions are harder. I am pro at pneumatics. My "in progress" combustion is so......grr,Its pretty simple too. Mostly ignition problems.
