Guess I should have posted this earlier but I found a place online that sells 1.5" Sch 10 SS pipe for $6.27/foot in cut lengths. The site also sells camlocks very cheap.

Here's the link.

Really nice find. They carry a full selection of camlocks as well.

Thanks for the heads-up!

Also check out out their pipe fittings. They carry full lines of SS-304 and SS-316 fittings along with forged steel (rated 2000 psi), aluminum and regular iron fittings. Nearly all the prices are lower than McMaster for a comparable fitting.

They're definitely someone to look into if you're looking for any metal pipe/fittings.

might I add they have 1 1/2" sch80 for $2.48 a foot, which im pretty sure is half what i paid from bcarms... not to mention a HUGE supply of great(expensive) valves, in particular, butterfly valves, which a MIT student used to set the record for distance in a pneumatic gun...

FWIW....

Finally got off me arse and got the gun running today. It's not finished by a long shot as I want to make it a breech loader (and currently it's not). But I was able to shoot golf balls from it and punch some holes in 3/4" plywood.

The sch 10 works magnificently.

Very nice.

IIRC, DYI's hybrid fire golf balls supersonically as well, correct?

LOL... Sorry, the hybrid is still a ways off (although I'll use the same breech and barrel assembly when that time comes). This one was just pneumatic (yes, I sat on me arse for 8 months and didn't do a thing with the gun.... too busy with Vera). And funny thing is that it still isn't done! Sheesh!

Really my only point in posting was to report that the sch 10 works every bit as well as I'd hoped.
