If you define a hybrid (as we do on the forum) as combustion of fuel vapour at a pre-ignition pressure significantly higher than atmospheric pressure, most cars are hybrid drive

I think this is the first video footage I've posted of this gun... ever. Unfortunately when I was visiting ohio I did not have much time to shoot stuff... otherwise this would have been a bit more extravagant. I had to quickly macgyver it back into a working condition with few tools available. Some of the stuff I filmed couldn't be used since it was too dark out.
It's got a good amount of power as is, I just have a problem with the skirts on the blowgun darts flipping at higher pressure. But with just a single pump, this thing puts wire darts deeper into wood then my 48" blowgun.
Here's a video of it a various pressures, you can see the skirt flipping problem in some of the higher pressure shots
But police are the worst thing to have ruin your day, second only to an exploding gun.
Assuming that the exploding gun wasn't immediately lethal and didn't cause paralysis or other permanent disability, I'd take that over the police any day.
Nice work, Fnord. I'm looking forward to coming across this build somewhere in the 800+ new posts I'm slogging through after frosh week.

I got sick of my harbor freight consumable threaded hole plugs, so I bought some better taps and dies from ebay.
My tap and die set now weighs more than a small child.
Oh, by the way DYI, that gun is my *old* hybrid, so there's nothing new to see here. But I do have some upgrades underway that should get the power up to multi-kJ levels, finally.
