How many capacitors are you using? I figure since most camera caps use 330V, you're using two of them in series?

Why are the leads coming out so long?

I really like the clear case. Looks like you did a pretty good, clean soldering job, too. Do you have a safety switch?

Peace,
Pete Zaria.

Isn't that spark gap waaaaaay too big, or did you make it that big so it's easier to zap people?

Yes the gap is big. The voltage is put through a transformer before the output.

Looks good! I like the eraser

The easy way is to bust out the bulb and extend two wires from the leads...

It would be easier to conceal if you kept it in its original disposable camera case. Still, it looks nice :D

I basically made this one for school, (Demonstration Speaches) not to hurt people but to demonstrate on what different typed of ignitions their are. and im sure their are some retards in my class that will attempt to make one and fail miserably or succeed and zap people like an A55 hole. lol

That spark gap actually is a different setup than the normal ones people use, most put those wires inside the gun, and just do it like that, this one the wires are attached to screws on the outside basically like a BBQ igniter, it works fine, and the wires will last longer this way.

What did u do to modify it as an ignitor? Like to make it jump a spark gap.

My little camera zapper can jump a gap of about 1 mm, I just broke the bulb and soldered two wires to the little metal things inside the bulb.

Yeah but camera tasers do not jump a spark gap they only make a spark when you touch the wires unless you modify it.

I just charge the capacitor and hit a switch and it jumps the 1 mm gap. It makes a spark. I guess I modified it or you made yours wrong.
