what's the differance in tank size for an air compressor. how many gallons would i need to fill a 6 foot long 3 inch pipe. and how long do they last and would a smaller tank like a 4 gallon tank not last for air tools as long as a 6 gallon tank?

what size compressors do you guys have and how do they work

and how many cfm is good enough.

A cubic foot is 7.5 gallons, and your cannon should have a chamber volume of about .375 cubic feet. It therefore has a volume of about 2.9 gallons.

What this means, is that a if your 3 gallon compressor is filled to 100 psi, it will be able to fill your gun to a bit more than 50. A 6 gallon compressor will be able to fill it to a bit more than 75, or fill it to 50 twice.

As to cfm, 1 cubic foot/min would allow you to fire your gun at 60 psi every 60/15*.375=1.5 minutes.

You want at least a 10gallon beacuse you use constance PSI to run them and this ay the compressor is not all ways running
