Found something that works really well for a propellent
Hi, I'm new to the forums but wanted to share something that may have been mentioned before, but I am to lazy to look at the moment, but what I want to share with all of you is a excellent propellent I have been using in my potato gun. What I've been using is lantern/campstove fuel in a windex bottle, one squirt in the chamber seems to work every time and doesn't leave black sludge like hair spray. Hopefully you find this info useful, if not, oh well.

i use graphite deodorant, works ok but i think im flooding the chamber,it only goes after the fuel settles for a while.from what ive heard, hairspray works ok,but i have tried straight butane with good results.
Well, the campfuel didn't work all that well for me.I use propane part of the time and white rain hair spray is really dependable. I have a can of some type of silicone lubricant and it works better than the hair spray. I have experimented with right guard and cutter mosquito spray without great success. Now that I have learned a little more about chamber to barrel ratios and a few other tid bits , I have started building me a better cannon with screw on barrels , a near 1.5 to 1 ratio . I would li ke to add stun gun ignition but I Don't really know where to even get one so I still use the torch lighter ,similar to a bbq thing only has a steel tube that goes inside the cannon which is a plus.. I want to add a 2.5 in barrel so I can shoot tennis balls but a full joint of conduit ,the only source I c an find locally is about 14.95 plus tax. There is a company in a nearby town that actually made some of the pipe I use (pipelife) on two of my c annons , I'll check with them. A neighbor has offjavascriptemoticon('')
Laughingered me some 6" pvc ,he said it was heavy .Well what could I do with that?

I don't know how you were using it, but when I use it, I make sure that the windex bottle is on the mist setting and give it a full spray of the campfuel. I usually hold the cap in one hand and the spraybottle in the other. After I spay it in, I quickly cap it. If it doesn't fire the first time, I usually unscrew the cap, blow some air in, and recap it. Seems to work pretty well for me.

1) Do some reseach on it. I recomend the spudwiki, or this very website.

At work we use "Gum Remover" to get gum off of walls etc. Upon looking for a new fuel for my mini I was looking through arousal cans and found that this stuff is made of propane and butane so I knew it was extremely flammable. I tried it once and it went further than any other fuel than I have ever tried. If you have access to it i strongly recommend asking your boss if you can take home a bottle
