I was so happy when I found out Lowes carried metal unions...
I was going to use acetylene-oxygen as fuel--nevermind.... a few safety checks later I discovered acetylene can spontaneously combust/ping when pressurized. The pure O2 environment prolly wouldn't help either...

So anyway, I know you can pressurize Propane/air up to 5x w/o risk of a misfire, but does anyone know about pressurizing propane/oxygen?

if you're talking about making a metal hybrid from the steel piping at lowes, sorry but forget it, that pipe is only rated at about 150PSI and a hybrid will grenade that in no time, noone has tried prop. and oxygen, and i wouldnt try it either, it will likely explode, i'm hoping to get a 6X mix out of my steel (rated at ATLEAST 3000 psi) hybrid when i build it, you should join the SGTC forums, and gain alot of knowledge in ALL aspects of spudguns and learn everything there is to know about hybrids.

to quote boogieman "mess up on a pneumatic or combustion, you're out a few bucks, mess up on a hybrid, and you are dead"

Hmm, ok then. Must needs find thicker pipe.

Either way you can mess up on a hybrid and be fine if you're a 1/4 mile away in a cement bunker :)
