I have access to one. What conections do they have? Has anybody used them? I have a friend with one that it "out of date" and he will give it to me. He said after a certin # of years you cant get them filled. There fine but like BBQ tanks they just are too old.
I know the N20 bottle in my car is only "good" for 5 years than the track saftey guys are not going to let you run it. Nobody ever checks it tho.
Thanks.
Anyone have experience with a Scuba tank for air?
Compressors are not exactly portable. How much could a reg be $100? Anyone know what thread size they are?beebs111 wrote:i think normal scuba tanks are like 3000 psi, and the regs would be expensive. just go with an air compressor
Guessing I'll have to wait till I get my hands on it.

I don't think they'll be filling your tank without it being up-to-date on it's checkups. I forget the intervals at which you have to get it checked, and I don't feel like finding my book and checking.
Either way, you'll probably be requiring a hydrostatic test and a visual inspection.

Why not try nitrogen marker tanks? They are compact, easy to hook and will last ages... Plus they can get up to around the 5000psi range. I'm using them on my next hyrbid as they are as I said above and (despite being called nitrogen tanks) have the same mixture as air. Saves lugging round a compressor
