About your chamber barrel ratio... I have heard that it is dangerous to neck down from 6 inches to something small, like 2 inches. You run the risk of overstressing the reducer when the pressure spikes. I don't remember where I read this, but you might consider looking into it. Also, I have heard that the pipe diameter ratio (NOT volume) between the Chamber and Barrel shpuld be around 1.5:1. So you should have a 4 inch barrel if you have a 6 inch chamber.

Unless it's a hybrid it's perfectly fine to reduce, as the pressure only spikes to about 60 p.s.i..
That means you could make a sealed unit and press fire- it won't explode with a normal combustion.
