I am building a 1" barrel for a gun, and am wondering what size male adapter I should use. It is modeled after boogieman's plans found here: http://www.advancedspuds.com/breechmethod.gif

Uh, no.

Use a 1-1/2" male adapter and a 1-1/2" x 1" bushing.

If you want to keep it smaller, you could use a 1.25" adapter instead of 1.5", but that would keep you from being able to use bigger barrels with maximum power. If you won't go higher than 1.25, then go with that.

Gort! It's been a while. Nice to see your alive.

Anyway, genius do you have a picture of the gun? Or are you still planning? Depending on your configuration and what fittings you used you may be able to use cam locks. this would make breech loading a cinch for your 1" barrel.
